Government of Punjab to Launch Hybrid Buses for Metro This Year

Punjab-government to launch hybrid buses According to Punjab Mass-transit Authority (PMTA) and media reports, Prime minister of Pakistan has approved recommendations of Government of Punjab on behalf of Chief Minister of Punjab to convert 250 metro buses into electric or hybrid technology. There will be a strict prohibition on the usage of diesel and petrol for public transport network. Because from now onward the new transport system will run through hybrid technology for curbing environmental pollution. PMTA has been directed by the government to issue tenders by the start of next month because the current agreement is going to expire in 2020. And whichever company accepts the tender has plenty of time to put electric or hybrid buses in place. Importantly, Prime Minister has also indicated that the government will look for a company that will be willing to agree for a lesser amount than the one listed in the recent contract. It’s official : Air New Zealand has come up with a just wow idea of serving tea or coffee cups both in the flight and on the ground to minimize wastage. The edible vanilla flavoured cups are tailor-made and are resistant to melting. A ir New Zealand signed with Twiice, an Auckland company (specialises in making edible cups) whose coffee cups are being used throughout the country. Air New Zealand coffee teacups from twiice These are the cups of the future for other airlines. The edible ingredients are 100% plastic-free, non-toxic, BPA-free, non-toxic, safe, and FDA-approved. It is not the first time for the airline to experiment eco-friendly waste management solutions.
