Corona Relief Fund, Amir Khan Makes Big Donation To Pakistan in COVID-19 Battle


London: Pakistani born British boxer Aamir Khan has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking good steps, all the overseas Pakistanis are supporting the Prime Minister.

Aamir Khan has promised to donate Rs40 million (approximately $534,000) for the help of poor people during the lockdown in Pakistan. On top of that Aamir khan foundation in Pakistan is distributing food and other necessary things among poor people. 


According to the correspondent of ARY News, World champion boxer Aamir Khan was speaking at a video conference, said that "the whole world is worried due to Coronavirus outbreak and the poor people across the globe are being affected the most." 

He said that unfortunately due to lockdown I could not reach Pakistan. But we have distributed ration bags (Food) to 10,000 families across the country so far, we will work in Karachi in the next few days. 

Amir Khan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is doing the best. Overseas support the Prime Minister in his campaign against coronavirus in Pakistan and sincerely donate to Corona Relief Fund. 

The Pakistani-born boxer said that Minister for Sports Fehmida Mirza and assistant special for overseas Pakistanis Syed Zulfi Bukhari cooperated with us a lot. 

Aamir khan offered this boxing academy in Islamabad to use as a quarantine centre. 
He offered that if the government cooperates, I am ready to open a boxing academy in every city of Pakistan. So far, I have spent over one million dollars on promoting professional boxing. 

Aamir Khan added, “I intend to say goodbye to professional boxing at 33 by the end of next year due to coronavirus outbreak, I want to keep my son away from boxing because the sport takes a lot of injuries".
