Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan deposits his 7-month salary in the National Fund to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus and help the infected patients.

In this regard, the foreign news agency said in its reports that after the Turkish president submitted his salary to the national fund, members of the Turkish cabinet also deposited money in the national fund.


In total, cabinet members raised more than 5 million Turkish lira, which amounts to about US $ 8 million. The president announced the National Fund and the National Solidarity Program, claiming that Turkey has better facilities for dealing with the Coronavirus than other countries and the government has also created temporary hospitals to treat patients.

It should be noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had earlier announced a $ 1.5 billion relief package to avert the economic losses caused by the Coronavirus in Turkey. He also appealed to citizens to maintain distance from one another and to stay at home.

The Turkish president said that Turkish experts are also working fast on developing the Coronavirus vaccine and hope that the experts will succeed.

Because of the Coronavirus, 41 villages and suburbs of the country have been completely converted to quarantine while 10,000 tests are being done daily in the country.
